Blu's work discusses what really lies behind the eyes, using a jab-cross-hook combination of brutal yet eloquent metaphors. Blu's style is gentle and unassuming; ultimately his humour and imagination are communicated through the horror that remains somehow appealing, so much so that he was invited to paint on London's Tate Modern gallery in May 2008. In addition, his first animation, the eye-wateringly complex / disturbing Muto has been seen by nearly 6 million people and counting.
