Oil painting may be traditional but Jonny Yeo is self-taught and his approach is entirely individual. Jonny's success in recent years, however, has been to subvert the master painter image by recreating his portraits using the cheapest pornography money can buy. The beauty of a falling leaf that suddenly resolves into an explicit act of, say fellatio, upon close inspection is both shocking and funny and yet the skill required to play these games is never less than breath-taking.
